Codiga, a company that focuses on reducing technical debt and automating code reviews has been selected to join the Techstars Boulder class of 2021. Joining an alumni of companies that like Sengrid and Digital Ocean who have also gone through the program.

“This is a powerful opportunity for the company to continue its growth as well as a strong signal that its mission is getting attention in the startup ecosystem.” said Julien Delange, founder of Codiga, about joining the accelerator.

Created in 2019, Codiga’s mission is to help developers produce better code, faster. The platform analyzes code, helps developers prioritize technical debt, automates code reviews and automatically fixes coding defects, saving up to 20% of developers time. The company recently relocated from San Francisco to Denver to be closer to the Techstars network.

Codiga has been founded by Julien Delange, a Twitter and AWS alum who has been working on technical debt while working as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute. Julien published multiple articles on software architecture and technical debt and is the co-author of the upcoming book “Technical Debt in Practice” published by MIT Press.

“We couldn’t be more excited to invest in Codiga and back their team. Their ability to execute combined with their domain expertise makes them an extraordinary team to tackle a painful problem faced by software engineering teams everywhere, technical debt.” — Andres Barreto, Managing Director of Techstars Boulder.

The company is currently working on a new feature, already available to premium members, that automatically fixes coding issues in a single click. It is also working on integrating Machine Learning to detect new bugs and learn how to generate fixes.
