After a year in operation, we’re thrilled to announce the closing of our seed funding round! We closed our inaugural investment round with $2.1M backing from prominent tech investors: LAUNCH and The Syndicate, who previously funded tech giants like Uber, Calm, and Robinhood, Draper Cygnus who previously backed Auth0, MGV Capital, 2.12 Angels, Alex and Bart Angel Fund, Service Provider Capital and many others institutional and angel investors.

LAUNCH and The Syndicate, led by Jason Calacanis, has backed over 300 startups. Calacanis said of his investment in Codiga:

"We're excited to back Codiga's tools for helping developers code more efficiently and effectively, and we believe that this tool could quickly become the standard for developers globally."

Draper Cynus also remarked on their backing of Codiga:

"Julien and Codiga's team has shown a combination of deep expertise on the problem and an incredible product delivery pace, we are very excited with the opportunity while they push the state of the art in coding tools".

Mariano Gonzalez from MGV Capital mentioned about their investment in Codiga:

"Codiga is a simple and affordable tool, already trusted by more than 12,000 developers in 700 organizations, that not only provides insight into programming best practices but also helps businesses to mitigate technical debt, in a world in which only 33% of software engineers have a computer science degree."

Romain Serman and Ben Orthlieb from 2.12 Angels, early investors in Codiga said:

"We knew Julien for years. We had no doubt his skills, vision, and grit would make Codiga - Code Inspector at the time - the leader in the forthcoming revolution of automated code reviews."

Our founder, Julien Delange, has over 15 years of experience working in software development for tech giants such as Amazon and Twitter. Delange identified the need for a smart platform that supports engineers in a number of key areas:

“Software is eating the world: our reliance on software is constantly increasing and without solutions to increase productivity, developers will not deliver fast enough. Our vision is to help developers ship high-quality code faster”.

Codiga was founded with the mission of increasing the productivity of software engineers, and in just a few short years, we’ve been able to roll out a number of innovative features that are each tailored to specific time-consuming tasks in a coder's day. Our goal always is to make all of our tools as easy-to-use as possible, so we’ve worked hard to ensure that they can be easily integrated into your existing environment.

Our automated Code Reviews tool gives developers real-time feedback on lines of code as they are writing them, dynamically identifies defects in code, and allows developers to see real-time feedback on the code as they wrote it. Like all of our features, it works anywhere you write code thanks to our open API that can be integrated with your preferred tools and workflows.

Codiga also features Coding Assistant, a tool that helps us cut development time by giving developers access to a robust library of Recipes, which are building blocks of reusable code that can be used to help frame any project. Coding Assistant allows users to not only find Recipes to reuse themselves, but also create Recipes that can be added to the platform either publicly or privately, or directly with their teammates.

This recent influx of capital allows us to keep continuing to build a network of talented and trusted engineers who have access to a robust library of features that help them with all aspects of their day-to-day. It’s been a whirlwind few years; we started in 2021 being selected as one of Techstars Winder class of 2021, and since then we have rolled out a number of exciting updates including a rewards program for our users, as well as a new team-only sharing option on Coding Assistant.

2022 is already shaping up to be an amazing year thanks to our recent investment, and we’re looking forward to continuing working on tools that help our users save valuable time in their day!
